As a service to Caltech students and members of our neighboring communities, we offer to distribute requests for a private Caltech tutor to those students and alumni who have opt-in to our private tutoring email list. Tutoring positions are sent out via email to those who opt-in to our tutors-on-call mailing list.

To opt-in as a Caltech tutor, please email the Career Development Center with the subject "tutoring opt-in". As you receive tutoring requests via email, please apply only to those positions for which you are qualified and to which you can commit the requested number of hours by contacting the individual listed in the announcement. As a Caltech tutor, you may set your own schedule and hourly rates, which typically range from $30 to $50 per hour, negotiable.

To request a Caltech tutor, please complete our online tutoring request form. Once you submit the form, we will review your request and send your information to our tutoring distribution list within one work day. Depending on the time of year, please be prepared for more than one potential tutor to contact you regarding the request, and plan accordingly.
