Statement of Purpose
An ever-increasing number of Caltech students are pursuing medical careers. The Caltech Pre-Med Association (CPMA) was established in order to build a supportive community for pre-med students to help each other through their Caltech years and the arduous medical school application process. Through volunteer activities and social events, pre-meds students come together as friends rather than competitors. In addition, upper-classment share their personal experiences and information with prospective and current pre-med students. This student-lead organization is guided and sponsored by the Premed Advisor and the Career Development Center.
Membership
Anyone in the Caltech community who is interested in medicine can join the Caltech Pre-Med Association. Our roster currently includes over 130 members (undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni). Currently students leaders are actively engaged in the planning and execution of various activities through four sub-committees: social, volunteer, curricuculm, and communication.

12 CPMA members visited the Vista Nova Home for the Blind, where they chatted with the residents, helped them plant an herb garden, and put on a music recital.
